NEW YEAR; NEW DISCOVERIES!

The hype of a new year brings with itself a list of new resolutions. It is the essence of human nature to want to soar higher and become better individuals every coming new year. In 2011, which for me has a theme titled "From a Young Lady to a Refined Woman", has locked up in itself facets of my being I know nothing about and hope to discover. As the year progresses, I hope to unwrap this wonderful creation of God - Erinma and present the gifts found in her to the world for its use.

Today, I started a blog! I have a passion for writing. My English professor, Mr Stevenson once told me that I needed to stop whatever major I was doing at college to pursue writing. I was extremely pleased at his very generous comments about how creative he thought i was and how successful he thought i would be if i began to write. To be honest, I had never thought about myself in this light. Through the lens of my own eyes, my writing had always been mediocre and unpolished. After getting an excellent grade in his class, I totally disregarded his comments. It was never a dream of mine to become a professional writer so writing to me had always taken the back seat in the affairs of my life. But with the new year, I hope to go for a personal adventure into the world of writing, hence the reason for this blog spot.

The subject or scope for this blog is yet to be determined. I hope to explore different genre of writing to pass across diverse messages and I ask for candid comments and critics from my readers. The use of language, punctuations, sentence constructions, writing techniques etc. are part of the subject matter i hope to get opinions about. This is a learning and discovery process for me and I ask you to come into this boat and take this journey with me.
